The Dover family has been in the Furniture/Mattress Business since 1982. In the early 1980s, Dover’s Furniture Manufacturing was established. The main product manufactured was wooden bunk beds, in Arely, AL. In the mid-1990s, Furniture Today wrote an article featuring Dover’s Furniture Manufacturing as the largest wood bunkbed manufacturing company in the United States. After 18 years of manufacturing, imports slowly began taking over products made in the USA and our family gradually entered the retail business. We opened our first Dover’s Mattress Closeout Center in Fultondale, AL. in late 2014 and, to this day, we continue to sell only discounted name-brand mattresses and related products. Today, we have multiple Dover’s Mattress Closeout Center locations and one Warehouse, with a total of over 45,000 sq. ft. and growing.
